So excited for the weekend. Travis has had exactly 1 day off in the past 3 weeks (there were a few days where he was home early or got to go in late, but equally as many where he didn't come home at all until the next afternoon). This weekend he has completley off so my mind is brimming with things we should do just because we can, even though I know we'll only have time for a couple of those things. Namely, take James to Barnes and Noble to (finally!) spend a birthday gift card, and hopefully go to the zoo on Saturday. We've not yet been to the Potawatomi Zoo, and I hear it's not much to behold, but he'll still love it at this age. He's started to notice animals and finds them fascinating. I'd also like to
blow upinflate (
)James' baby pool and do some splashing around, take a long walk around the neighborhood, and watch a movie together. Now we just need Travis to get home from call yesterday/last night, so we can get started on the weekend! Or, more accurately, he can finally go get some sleep. And THEN we can get the weekend started.

it took me a moment to figure out what you meant by "blow up" james' baby pool. i was thinking blow-up-KABOOM, rather than the intended blow-up-with-air. oops!
have a WONDERUL weekend!!
@bethelaine - No free weekend is complete without explosives!
@Marketer319 - yeah, especially in your neighborhood... although, maybe the dynamics have changed now that E&J&VJ have vacated the premesis.
Have fun making memories together! Very cool that Travis will be with you on Father's Day!
Are you going to have fun with the 3000 bugs too???
@jdkpierce - They should be arriving today. And you thought I had a lot of company LAST weekend!
@bethelaine - HAHAHAHAHAHA! I hadn't picked up on that. You clever girl!
I want to see pictures of all of these ladybugs. And I think you should name them. Don't release them until you do.
Have fun at the Pawatawhatzamakalit Zoo! Our kids l-o-v-e the zoo, even Gabe. Animals and God's creation are so amazing...kids just are so enamored with it all. Enjoy the family time, friend, you deserve it!
Oh, and I check out pinkandpolkadots every now and then after I saw it on your blog. You may or may not like this, but I read www.thisyounghouse.com every now and again. Young couple who does lots of decor, remodels, etc. on the cheap and with style. Thought of you!
I hope by now you are having a wonderful wonderful weekend!! I'm so glad you and James get lots of quality time with Travis
I have wanted to literally blow up Meatball's baby pool... but that's because he fills it with mud and wallows like a pig. YUCK.
Janae and I went to our Henry Doorly Zoo last Monday and had a great time. It is such an awesome zoo! If you ever get to come visit me we will have to go. It is just fantastic!
